BBC NEWS:

The best gadgets of CES 2008
One of the problems of recording TV programmes on to video tape was that when watching them back the viewer had to fast forward through the adverts. The same is now true of programmes recorded digitally through a TV tuner in a PC. But a company called VideoReDo has developed a piece of software that automatically strips out the adverts. But the newest version incorporates useful features such as the ability to record the edited programmes to DVD. According to the firm the next version, out later this year, will let users encode the video to a format suitable for viewing on iPods.

PCWORLD:

Master Your Media
Got TV shows on your PC--complete with commercials? Try VideoReDo Plus. In addition to its commercial-editing features, VideoReDo Plus natively reads the proprietary TiVo files, saving another step in this process. (If you use another editor, it might not work with TiVo videos.)

DIGITAL DIRECTOR:
VideoReDo is one of those rare pieces of software where the maker's claims are true: it's a breeze to cut video from MPEG/VOB files. Digital video is not film.... This obvious statement was recently made at videoforums, and conveniently sits as a fitting introduction to this particular guide: film can be spliced, moved and stuck together without requiring ten hours of re-encoding and at exactly the same quality. Do the same with an MPEG file and your stuck with re-encoding, losing your precious time and quality of the final video. Well the guys at VideoRedo are clearly an impatient, quality conscious lot and offer yet another way to bring the world of digital video closer to film.

THE INQUIRER:
This program should win a prize for usability.... It does that it promises and it does so much faster compared to other MPEG video editors I've used in the past. You don't see this kind of power/price/simplcity ratio in the Windows world too often.

VIDEO HELP:
This software saved me many hours of frustration and I love it! To put it plain and simple: if you want to work with MPEG files, this is the software to use. Forget everything else, this program did what it was suppose to and did it quick and without fuss. This program really is a miracle. Worth every penny.

HTCPNEWS.COM:
I've used many different MPEG cutting tools in the past, and I've settled on VideoReDo Mpeg Editing products as the best solution.

PC PLUS:
VideoReDo gives you precise control over editing MPEG movies and joining MPEG2 movies.

QA LABORATORY:
VideoReDo is very stable, no crash even on intensive use, it is very fast in comparison with simlar programms.

My main activities testing were:

- quick processing of recordings
- separate videos which are in one record
- correct sync problems
- combine short videos of the same topic to a single one
